We are speechless with gratitude for the most incredible LS1 review ever written. Author Timothy Roth of Positive Feedback Online wrote an invitation to both music lovers and professional engineers to unite their worlds by embracing the LS1. In his words: "The LS1 brings the mastering studio into your room, which is a revolutionary paradigm shift. You hear the artists' intent rather than your system or your own personal preferences." This was exactly our original aim when we designed the LS1. Please read the full review to be swept up in his enthusiasm for the LS1: "As it turns out, Truth equals Love."

We are very happy to announce a formal cooperation between Grimm Audio and Robert Munnig Schmidt of RMS Acoustics & Mechatronics. Robert will manage the R&D of our joint activities. With his academic and industrial background as professor at Delft University of Technology and R&D management at Philips and ASML, he will be actively involved in the creation of scientifically sound Grimm Audio designs.

TPR8 multicable2014, October 7

We added a new product to our catalog: TPR8. This 8 channel multicable fits sub-D shells and is therefore the first choice for truly high quality break out cables. The neutrality of TPR is now finally available for your converters, monitor controllers and mixing desks! Of course TPR8 is also the perfect solution for any other 8 channel multicable application.

The online High End magazine Sound Stage Ultra published a very positive LS1 review and marked it "Reviewers Choice". Author Robert Jorgensen enjoyed his days with our product very much, playing a wide range of music styles. We were delighted with his conclusion since he recognized our main goal when we designed the LS1. He writes: "These days, I find it less and less interesting to try various components in my system; I much prefer to listen to music. Other audiophiles, to stay happy, need something to fiddle with all the time; this is not the system for them. The Grimm Audio LS1-LS1s let me get down to excellent listening for a good long time with no fiddling whatsoever. That's my kind of speaker system. You do need a good source and a room whose acoustics have been properly addressed. But that's it."

LS1 textbook example2014, September 9

Koen Terra of the University of Applied Science in Utrecht asked us if he was allowed to use the LS1 as an example of great design to teach his students about hand sketching. Of course we were honoured with his request and offered all cooperation. So now the LS1 takes centre stage in the 'Roundings' chapter of the new textbook "Basic Blocks for Hand Sketching" of Koen Terra, with beautiful hand drawn pictures...

The Netherlands' leading online hifi magazine, hifi.nl, published a review by René van Es, who was fascinated by the fact that the LS1 is so different from any other system he auditioned. His verdict is: "A system that belongs to the current top class of high end audio, at a very reasonable price in relation to the quality. A system with such low distortion and such high neutrality that you may probably have to get used to it."

Peter Breuninger of AV Showrooms did an interview with our US distributor Bill Parish during the Axpona show in Chicago. Bill introduces the LS1 to the viewer in his typical cheerful way. A couple of weeks later Peter interviewed Bruno Putzeys at the Newport Beach show. Bruno informs him about some backgrounds of the LS1 design. Both videos are well worth a view!

We took some nice 'living room setting' pictures of the LS1 in a beautiful villa in Eindhoven. These will mainly be used for press promotion via our hi-res pictures page, but please don't hesitate to take a look...

Our Dealer of the Year award 2014 goes to... Berlin dealer Max Schlundt of Kultur Technik! In the picture you see Max who just received the award (a 3D printed LS1 model) out of the hands of Grimm Audio's Christian Reichardt, during our 10th anniversary celebration event at the High End Munich show. Congratulations Max!

"Grimm Audio hits the floor of the Berlin AES show with an 8 channel 1-bit A/D converter aimed squarely at the audiophile end of the market." With this text Grimm Audio and the AD1 were introduced to the world exactly 10 years ago today at the AES in Berlin. Please join us at the Munich High End show May 15th till 18th, to celebrate this special event.
